Officina Tour Di Sarvadon Romano

Officina Tour Di Sarvadon Romano

Officina Tour is a small artisanal company, in business for over 40 years, based in Châtillon, a traditional home of blacksmiths. It creates pieces in wrought iron and hot forged, with mallet and hammer and a coal forge.

Modern or traditional techniques (riveting, welding, soldering...) are chosen for each project in order to express the spontaneity of incandescent iron: a pairing between man and iron, which lends itself to different creations: from the forging of distinctive Damascus knives to more traditional banisters.

Items are based on sketches drawn in-house or supplied by the client and include:

  • wrought iron balustrades and gates
  • internal banisters with personalised designs
  • wrought iron staircases with steps in rustic wood
  • Signs and decorative panels in wrought iron
  • Damascus knives
  • lamps and wall lights in wrought iron
  • iron and wood clothes stands
  • artistic sculptures
  • iron crosses for cemeteries

The owner has taken part in several metalworking trade exhibitions in Italy and abroad including the European Biennial Art of the Blacksmith (AR), the Wrought Iron Biennial Fair “Ferro e Fuoco” of Orzinuovi, the Fair of Sant'Orso, the Wrought Iron and Forged Knife Biennial Fair of Châtillon, Limena, Villard de Lans.

Romano Sarvadon features in several books on wrought iron published by Alinea Editrice (see “"Il letto e dintorni opere dei maestri italiani del ferro battuto" and "La magia del ferro battuto italiano") and is a promoter of the Wrought Iron Biennial Fair of Châtillon (AO).
